The Dish internet TV service is called Sling TV (do not confuse the name with the Slingbox or Sling Media set-top boxes) and it is a $20 per month service that offers a limited selection of channels that customers can stream live to any device via the web and via the Sling TV app coming for Xbox One. As for channels, the package includes 12 sport channels, lifestyle, Family, and new networks: ESPN, ESPN2, TNT, TBS, Food Network, HGTV, Travel Channel, Adult Swim, Cartoon Network, Disney Channel, ABC Family, and CNN. Additionally, subscribers will get Video-On-Demand and online videos from Maker Studios. Additional programming is available through $5 per-month add-ons. Sling TV will offer a “Kids Extra” add-on with Disney Junior, Disney XD, Boomerang, Baby TV and Duck TV, and a “News & Info Extra” add-on with HLN, Cooking Channel, DIY and Bloomberg TV. A “Sports Extra” package is coming soon. Best of all, there is not contracts involved with Sling TV, just pay as you go, and you can cancel any time. And since this product is aimed for consumers without a cable or satellite subscription, you are not required to have a TV service in your home (it’s just like Netflix). Not only, you’ll be able to watch live TV on your Xbox One, but on Windows, Roku, Android, and iOS devices too. This is a true TV everywhere solution. You will be able to use your web browser of choice to stream TV, but here is a list of where you can watch content from Sling TV: Source ReCode All content on this site is provided with no warranties, express or implied.
