If you have been using the Snap feature in Windows 10, you probably came across the scenario where you have snapped two apps, each using 50 percent of the screen real estate, but sometimes you may want to resize one of the windows, when you’ll notice that you’ll also have to manually resize the adjacent window as well. While this is not a complicated task, many users would expect both apps to rezise at the same time when you’re resizing one of the windows. Starting Windows 10 build 10547 and later, Microsoft is addressing this issue by adding a new setting to allow the second snapped window to resize automatically at the same time when you’re resizing the first window.
Resize two snapped windows simultaneously
Keep in mind that this feature only works when you have two snapped windows, and it will not work when you have three or four windows snapped on the screen.
Once you have enabled the feature, you can snap two windows, then hover the mouse cursor over the edge where the two windows intercept, and you’ll notice a slider will appear, which you can move left or right to resize the two windows at once.
Additionally, while you’re still Multitaksing, you can enable or disable Snap with the “Arrange windows automatically by dragging them to the sides or corners of the screen” option. There also the “When I snap a window, automatically size it to fill available space”, and you can enable or disable Snap Assist with the “When I snap a window, show what I can snap next to it” option.
